WHEREAS, the Texas Association of Business and Chambers of Commerce was
founded in 1922 and is an association of businesses and chambers of commerce
throughout the State of Texas; and
HWEREAS, in 1972, the TABCC established the Texas Business of the Year Award
to recognize companies that best exemplify excellence in business through achievements and
business operations, growth, innovation, and contributions to the civic and industrial
community; and
WHEREAS, FMC Fluid Control, has been recognized as the 25th winner of this
award on Wednesday, April 23, 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF CITY OF
STEPHENVILLE that FMC is commended for this outstanding honor by the Texas
Association of Business and Chambers of Commerce for being duly recognized as the
world's largest supplier of oil field and industrial fluid control products and its
commitments to service, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Stephenville community is proud to have FMC
as a corporate citizen and commend them for their work, nor only within the industry, but
for the betterment of the community.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, this
the 6th day of May, 1997.
