ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT PORTION OF ALLEY RUNNING FROM NORTH CLINTON
STREET ON THE WEST AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOT 13-B OF SLOAN SECOND
ADDITION TO THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE CONTAINING 19640 SQUARE FEET OF LAND
TO HAVE BEEN ABANDONED AS AN ALLEY, ORDERING THE SAME VACATED AND CLOSED,
FINDING THE VALUE OF SAID LAND AND AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF SAME TO
TOM LOVELACE, UPON PAYMENT OF THE AMOUNT FOUND TO BE THE VALUE OF THIS
LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE:
Section One
That portion of alley running from North Clinton Street on the west
at the southwest corner of Lot 13-B of Sloan Second Addition to the City
of Stephenville and described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pin set in the SW corner of Lot 13-B, Block 1,
Sloan Second Addition, Erath County, Texas;
THENCE N 600 E, 164 feet to the SE corner of Lot 13-B, Block 1,
Sloan Second Addition, Erath County, Texas;
THENCE S 300 E, 10 feet to the center of a 20 foot alley way;
THENCE S 600 W, 164 feet to the east side of a 50 foot right of way
of North Clinton Avenue;
THENCE N 300 W, 10 feet to the place of beginning, containing 1,640
square feet;
is hereby declared to have been abandoned for alley purposes and is
hereby declared vacated and closed for alley purposes.
Section Two
That portion of alley hereinabove described has been appraised and
is hereby found by the City Council of Stephenville, Texas, to be of a
value of $164.00. Said amount having been offered by TOM LOVELACE for
said alley, it is hereby ordered and directed that Larry Hammett, Mayor
of the City of Stephenville, execute a special warranty deed to the said
' Tom Lovelace upon the payment by him to the City of Stephenville of said
sum of $164.00, the said Tom Lovelace owning Lot 13-B adjacent to said
alley.
