Stevens, Jr.ORDINANCE NO. 198976 ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT CERTAIN ALLEY RUNNING THROUGH BLOCK 26 OF FREY FIRST ADDITION ACCORDING TO KING'S 1956 MAP OF SAID CITY TO HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY ABANDONED BY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND ORDERING THAT A PORTION OF SAME CONTAINING 416 SQUARE FEET OF LAND TO BE CONVEYED TO JAMES A. STEVENS, JR., FINDING THE VALUE OF SAID LAND AND AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF SAME TO JAMES A. STEVENS, JR. UPON PAYMENT OF THE AMOUNT FOUND TO BE THE VALUE OF THIS LAND. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE: Section One That certain alley running through Block 26 of Frey First Addition in the City of Stephenville from the easterly line of North Belknap Avenue to the westerly line of North Graham Street having been declared vacated and abandoned by ordinance of this City Council passed on December 6, 1988. Section Two A portion of said alley described as follows: All that certain 416.0 square feet of an 8-foot alley situated within Block 26, Frey First Addition to Stephenville, Erath County, Texas, according to King's 1956 Map of said City attached to Adoption recorded in Volume 381, page 105, Deed Records of Erath County, Texas, and the 416.0 square feet being described as follows: BEGINNING at the NW corner of Lot 8, Block 26, Frey First Addition, in east line of North Belknap Avenue, for the SW corner of this tract; THENCE N 300 W, with east line of North Belknap Avenue, 4.0 feet to center of 8-foot alley, for the NW corner of this tract; THENCE N 600 E, with center of alley, 104.0 feet to the NE corner of this tract; THENCE S 300 E, 4.0 feet to the NE corner of Lot 7, in Block 26, for the SE corner of this tract; THENCE S 600 W, with north lines of Lots 7 and 8, a distance of 104.0 feet to the place of beginning; has been appraised and is hereby found by the City Council of Stephenville, Texas, to be of a value of $41.60. Said amount having been offered by ,Tames A. Stevens, Jr. for the above described portion of said alley, it is hereby ordered and directed that George Swearingen, Mayor of the City of Stephenville, execute a special warranty deed to the said James A. Stevens, Jr., upon the payment by him to the City of Stephenville of said sum of $41.60, the said James A. Stevens, Jr. owning Lots 7 and 8 of Block 26 adjacent to said alley.
