ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT PORTION OF WEST HUBERT STREET
BETWEEN LOTS 3 AND 4 OF BLOCK 40 AND LOTS 1-A AND 2-A OF
BLOCK 31 OF FREY FIRST ADDITION-* IN THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE
TO HAVE BEEN ABANDONED AS A STREET-, ORDERING THE SAME VACATED
AND CLOSED, FINDING THE VALUE OF THOSE PORTIONS OF SAID
STREET TO' BE CONVEYED TO KENNETH HOOK AND LONE STAR GAS
COMPANY -UPON PAYMENT OF THE AMOUNT FOUND TO BE THE VALUE OF
SAID PORTIONS; AND FINDING THE VALUE OF SAID PORTIONS AND
AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF SAME TO KENNETH HOOK AND TO
LONE STAR GAS COMPANY -UPON PAYMENT OF THE AMOUNTS TO BE THE
VALUE OF THIS LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
STEPHENVILLE:
Section One
That portion of West Hubert Street
notes and plat of Wayne Graham attached
Exhibit B and Exhibit C, and made a part
hereby declared to have been abandoned
and that portion of West Hubert Street a!
ordered vacated and closed as a street.
Section Two

That portion of West Hubert Street described on Exhibit A
is hereby found by the City Council of Stephenville, Texas,
to be of a value of $550.00. Said amount having been offered
by Kenneth Hook for. that portion of said street, it is hereby
ordered and directed that George Swearingen, Mayor of the
City of Stephenville, execute a special warranty deed to the
said Kenneth Hook conveying to him said land and such deed
shall be delivered to the said Kenneth Hook, conveying to him
said land and such deed shall be delivered to Kenneth Hook
upon the payment y a ment b him to the City of Stephenville of said
sum of $550-000
Section Three
That portion of West Hubert Street described on Exhibit B

has been appraised and is hereby found by the City Council

ALL that certain lot, tract or parcel of land, being that part of
Hubert Street that lies between Block 31 of Frey First Addition and
Block 40 of Frey First Addition to the City of Stephenville, Erath
County, Texas as shown on King's 1956 Map of Stephenville, adoption
thereof recorded in Volume 381, Page 105 of the Deed Records of Erath
County, Texas and described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod set at the NE corner of Lot 2-A of Block 31
of the Frey First Additiion to the City of Stephenville, being at the
intersection of the West Line of North Race Ave, and the south line of
West Hubert Street, for the SE corner of this tract;
-THENCE S 60'-deg., 03' 20" W along the south line of West Hubert Street,,
at 55' pass the NW corner of Lot. 2-A and the NE corner of Lot 1-A,
continuing in all 110.0' to an iron rod set at the NW corner of said
Lot 1-A, being in the east line of Block 4 of the Crow Styles Addition
to the City of Stephenville, for the SW corner of this tract;
THENCE N 29 deg. 54' 52" W along the east line of Block 4 of the Crow
Styles Addition, 50.0' to an iron rod set at the SW corner of Lot 4 of
