ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT PORTION OF FRENCH STREET RUNNING FROM THE
EASTERLY LINE OF SOUTH FIFTH AVENUE TO THE WESTERLY LINE OF SOUTH
LILLIAN AVENUE IN THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE TO HAVE BEEN ABANDONED
AS A STREET, ORDERING THE SAME VACATED AND CLOSED, FINDING THE
VALUE OF THE SOUTH ONE-HALF OF SAID LAND AND AUTHORIZING THE
CONVEYANCE OF SAME TO DWAIN BRUNER UPON PAYMENT OF THE AMOUNT
FOUND TO BE THE VALUE OF THIS LAND; AND FINDING THE VALUE OF THE
NORTH ONE-HALF OF SAID LAND AND AUTHORIZING THE CONVEYANCE OF SAME
TO Co W. TROUP UPON PAYMENT OF THE AMOUNT FOUND TO BE THE VALUE OF
THIS LAND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE:
Section One
The easterly portion of French Street described as follows:
The easterly 416 feet of French Street in the City of
Stephenville as shown on King's 1956 Map of Stephenville at
pages 695 and 715 thereof, which map is on file in the office
of the County Clerk of Erath County, Texas, and described on
Exhibit "A" which is attached hereto and made a part of this
ordinance;
is hereby declared to have been abandoned for street purposes and
that portion of French Street above described is hereby ordered
vacated and closed as a street.
Section Two
The south one-half of that portion of French Street
hereinabove described has been appraised and is hereby found by
the City Council of Stephenville, Texas, to be of a value of
$1,040.00. Said amount having been offered by Dwain Bruner for
that portion of said street, it is hereby ordered and directed
that George Swearingen, Mayor of the City of Stephenville, execute
a special warranty deed to the said Dwain Bruner, conveying to him
said land, and such deed shall be delivered to the said Dwain
Bruner upon the payment by him to the City of Stephenville of said
sum of $1,040.00, the said Dwain Bruner owning Lots 2 and 3 of
Block 33 adjacent to said street.
Section Three
The north one-half of that portion of French Street
hereinabove described has been appraised and is hereby found by
the City Council of Stephenville, Texas, to be of a value of
$1,040.00. Said amount having been offered by C. B. Troup for
that portion of said street, it is hereby ordered and directed
that George Swearingen, Mayor of the City of Stephenville, execute
a special warranty deed to the said C. B. Troup conveying to him
said land, and such deed shall be delivered to the said C. B.
Troup upon the payment by him to the City of Stephenville of said
sum of $1,040.00, the said C. B. Troup owning Lot 1 of Block 33
adjacent to said street.

THE STATE OF TEXAS: City of Stephenville, Texas, 0.478 ac.,
COUNTY OF ERATH : Blk. 33, South Side Addition, Stephen-
ville, Texas. (French Street)
All that certain 0.478 acres situated within Block 33, South
.Side Addition to Stephenville, 'texas, according to King's 1956
Map of said City, attached to Adoption recorded in Vol. 381,
page 105, Deed Records of Erath County, Texas, and said 0,478
acres being that part of French Street bounded oil the North by
Lot 1, Block 33, and on the South by Lots 2 and 3, Block 33,
South Side Additon, and described as follows:
Beginning at a point in old fence row, on East line of S. Fifth
Avenue, from which point a chain link fence corner post bears
S. 30 E. 12.7 feet, for the occupied SWC of Lot 11 Blk. 33, and
NWC of this tract;
Thence N. 60 E. with old fence line, 416 feet to a point in West
line of S. Killian Avenue, from which point a chain link fence
corner post bears S. 60 W. 59.5 feet and S. 30 E. 10.1 feet,
for occupied SEC of said Lot 1, Blk. 33, and NEC of this tract;
Thence S. 30 E. with West line of S. Lillian Avenue, 50 feet to
the NEC of Lot 2, Blk. 33, for SEC of this tract;
Thence S. 60 W. 416 feet to the NWC of Lot 3, Blk. 33, for the
SWC of this tract;
Thence N . 30 W. with East line of S. Fifth Avenue, 50 feet to
the place of beginning.
NOTE: It is apparant that Block 33 has excess North and South
and that the occupancy of certain tracts may not be same as
shown on the King 1956 map. It is the intention in the above
described field notes to describe all or all that part of French
Street that is situated South of it's fenced and occupied North
line which is the fenced and occupied South line of Lot 1, in
Block 33, South Side Addition to Stephenville, Texas.
