AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE - 1988-2010 AND DE-
CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville, Texas, has engaged in the process of
improving the City's plan for the physical development of said City;
and
WHEREAS, a part of that process, the City of Stephenville has engaged the ser-
vices of Freese and Nichols, Inc., to revise and update the 1969
Comprehensive Plan for said City and to prepare a Comprehensive Plan
for the future development of said City; and
WHEREAS, citizen participation in the process was secured through a written sur-
vey of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Planning & Zoning Commission provided guidance thoughout the pro-
cess; and
WHEREAS, guided by such community effort as well as its technical expertise,
Freese and Nichols, Inc. has prepared a Comprehensive Plan for said
City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE,
TEXAS:
SECTION 1
eo"') That the Comprehensive Plan for Stephenville, Texas, prepared for said
City by Freese and Nichols, Inc. Consulting Engineers and Planners, of Fort
Worth, Texas, and bearing the date February 1991, a copy of which shall be kept
on file in the office of the City Secretary for said City, is hereby approved
for use as a plan for the physical development of said City.
SECTION 2
That this Ordinance shall be in effect immediately from and after its
passage and publication as provided by law.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED February 5, 1991.
