AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AN UNDEVELOPED PORTION OF WEST SHIRLEY STREET OF THE CITY OF
STEPHENVILLE ALONG WITH A MAP SHOWING THE LOCATION OF THE STREET TO BE ABANDONED,AND
AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF SAID STREET
WHEREAS, on February 2, 2021 the Stephenville City Council passed Resolution No. 2021-R-04
initiating the abandonment of an undeveloped portion of West Shirley Street, located between Paddock
Street and the Fort Worth and Wester Railroad, in the City of Stephenville; and
WHEREAS, on March 10, 2021, the Stephenville Planning and Zoning Commission voted to make
a positive recommendation to the Stephenville City Council for the abandonment of same.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE,TEXAS:
1. That the undeveloped portion of Shirley Street, as described above and depicted in Exhibit
"A",which is attached to this order and made a part hereof, is hereby abandoned as a public
street.
2. Staff is hereby authorized to execute the sale of said street.
