Special City Council Meeting
TES AS Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 5:30 PM
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at 5:30 PM, in
the Council Chambers at City Hall, 298 West Washington Street, for the purpose of a Special City Council
Meeting, with the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting, giving the date, time, place
and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon's Texas
Codes Annotated, with the following members present, to wit:
COUNCIL PRESENT: Doug Svien
Mark McClinton
Justin Haschke
Nick Robinson
Brady Pendleton
Ricky Thurman
Alan Nix
Gerald Cook
Brandon Huckabee
COUNCIL ABSENT:
OTHERS ATTENDING: Allen L. Barnes, City Manager
Staci L. King, City Secretary
Randy Thomas, City Attorney
Call to Order
Mayor Svien called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
II. Consider Approval of 2020 Tax Rate
MOTION by Mark McClinton, second by Ricky Thurman, that the property tax rate be increased by
the adoption of a tax rate of $0.4550, which is effectively a 4.67 percent increase in the tax rate.
MOTION CARRIED by the following votes:
Ayes: Mark McClinton, Justin Haschke, Nick Robinson, Brady Pendleton,
Ricky Thurman, Alan Nix, Gerald Cook, and Brandon Huckabee
III. Adjourn
The meeting was adjourned at 5:31 p.m.
