*�S Tuesday, May 19, 2020 at 5:30 PM
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at 5:30 PM, in the
Council Chambers at City Hall, 298 West Washington Street, for the purpose of a Special City Council
Meeting, with notice of said meeting, giving the date, time, place and subject thereof, having been posted as
prescribed by Chapter 551, Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated, with the following
members present, to wit:
COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Doug Svien
Council Member Mark McClinton
Council Member Justin Haschke
Council Member Nick Robinson
Council Member Brady Pendleton
Council Member Ricky Thurman
Council Member Alan Nix
Council Member Gerald Cook
Council Member Brandon Huckabee

Call to Order
Mayor Svien called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m.
II. Consider Approval of Council Committee Assignments
Mayor Svien recommended the following committee assignments:
Development Services Committee
Brandon Huckabee, chair, Gerald Cook, Mark McClinton, Ricky Thurman
Finance Committee
Mark McClinton, chair, Justin Haschke, Brandon Huckabee, Brady Pendleton
Nominations Committee
Gerald Cook, chair, Justin Haschke, Alan Nix, Ricky Thurman
Parks and Leisure Services
Nick Robinson, chair, Justin Haschke, Brandon Huckabee, Alan Nix
Personnel Committee
Ricky Thurman, chair, Gerald Cook, Brady Pendleton, Nick Robinson
Public Health and Safety Committee
Brady Pendleton, chair, Mark McClinton, Nick Robinson, Ricky Thurman
Public Works Committee
Alan Nix, chair, Brandon Huckabee, Mark McClinton, Nick Robinson
Tourism and Visitors Bureau Committee

MOTION by Alan Nix, second by Mark McClinton, to accept the council committee assignments.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
III. Consider Operation of Splashville for 2020 Season
MOTION by Brady Pendleton, second by Gerald Cook, to open Splashville for the 2020 Season.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
IV. Consider Approval of a Resolution Authorizing The Submission of a Coronavirus Relief Fund
Grant Application to the Texas Department Of Emergency Management
MOTION by Alan Nix, second by Mark McClinton, to approve Resolution No. 2020-R-14
authorizing the submission of an application for the Texas Department of Emergency
Management Relief Fund Grant.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
V. Election of Mayor Pro Tem
Mayor Svien asked for nominations for Mayor Pro Tem. Council member Alan Nix nominated
council member Mark McClinton. No other nominations were received.
MOTION by Alan Nix, second by Ricky Thurman, to elect Mark McClinton Mayor Pro Tem.
MOTION CARRIED by unanimous vote.
VI. Adjourn
The meeting was adjourned at 5:55 p.m.
