A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE CITY OF
STEPHENVILLE HOME IMPROVEMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Stephenville wishes to encourage homeowners to make
improvements to single-family residential properties;and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that incentivizing home improvements would prevent blight,
improve property values, and increase the quality of life resident of Stephenville; and
WHEREAS,the City Council wishes to adopt a Home Improvement Incentive Program for the City of
Stephenville.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF STEPHENVILLE,TEXAS:
SECTION 1.
That the City of Stephenville Home Improvement Incentive Program policy, as presented to the City Council
on March 3, 2020, is hereby adopted as the policy for the administration of home improvement incentives.
SECTION 2.
That it is hereby declared to be the intention of the City Council of the City of Stephenville that the phrases,
clauses,sentences,paragraphs,and sections of this Policy are severable,and if any phrase,clause,sentence,
paragraph or section of this Policy should be declared unconstitutional by the valid judgment or decree of
any court of competent jurisdiction, such unconstitutionality shall not affect any of the remaining phrases,
clauses,sentences,paragraphs or sections of the Policy,since the same would have been enacted by the City
Council without incorporation in this ordinance ofany such unconstitutional phrases, clause, sentence,
paragraph or section.
SECTION 3.
It is hereby officially found and determined that the meeting at which this policy was adopted was open to
the public and that public notice of the time, place and purpose of said meeting was given as required by
the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code.
SECTION 4.
This resolution shall be effective upon passage.
