AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE CITY OF
STEPHENVILLE'S YOUTH PROGRAMS STANDARDS OF CARE AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville administers day camps and programs for children ages six to
twelve years old; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Subtitle D. Department of Family and Protective Services; Child
Welfare and Protective Services, Chapter 42 Regulation of Certain Facilities, Homes, and Agencies that
provide Child-Care Services, the City of Stephenville seeks to adopt an annual Standards of Care in
accordance with Chapter 42, Section 14. and
WHEREAS,as required by the Code,on December 3,2019,the City Council of the City held a public
hearing at its regular meeting to gather input from citizens on the proposed Youth Programs Standards of
Care.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE ,
TEXAS:
Section 1
The City Council of the City of Stephenville herby adopts the Youth Programs Standards of Care, attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" for all intents and purposes; and
Section 2
A copy of the Youth Programs Standards of Care shall be available for review on the City's website and in
person at the Stephenville Recreation Hall; and
Section 3
The City of Stephenville is hereby directed to provide a copy of the program standards,a notice of a public
hearing, and a copy of the ordinance adopting the standards to the Texas Department of Family and
Protective Services.
Section 4
If any portion, section, or part of a section of this ordinance is subsequently declared invalid, inoperative
or void for any reason by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining portions, sections or parts of
sections of this ordinance shall be and remain in full force and effect and shall not in any way be impaired
or affected by such decision,opinion, or judgment.
Section 5
This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
