RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, TO ACCEPT THE
2018— 10-INCH DOMESTIC WATER METER ASSEMBLY—W. SHIRLEY ST./ N. ROME AVE. PROJECT AND
AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO B&L CONSTRUCTION CO.; FINDING AND DETERMINING THE MEETING
AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville entered into a unit price contract with B&L CONSTRUCTION
CO. with a final estimated total cost of$37,500.00; and
WHEREAS,the project areas were extended,in accordance with regulated practices,to best utilize
the cost per unit and best utilize the overall 2018 utility budget; and
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of$37,500.00 of which $36,750.00 has
been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount due of$750.00; and
WHEREAS, the City has received an executed Final Bills Paid Affidavit from the Contractor and a
recommendation of final payment from the Engineer of Record.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE,TEXAS,THAT;
SECTION 1.The 2018—10-INCH DOMESTIC WATER METER ASSEMBLY—W.SHIRLEY ST./N. ROME
AVE. PROJECT is hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to make final payment to the
contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined the meeting which this resolution was
passed was open to the public as required by law.
