HomeMy WebLinkAbout2018-O-44 - Attendance '—' ORDINANCE NO. 2018-0-44 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENT FOR CITY OF STEPHENVILLE CITIZEN BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE,TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City of Stephenville Code of Ordinances, Chapter 32 Departments, Boards and Commissions, Article I — Airport Advisory Board, Section 32.04(8) Attendance is hereby amended by repealing the current section in its entirety and replacing it with the following: Sec. 32.04(B) Attendance Two absences from meetings of the advisory board in a twelve-month period shall be considered a voluntary resignation. The council shall fill vacancies created by voluntary resignations in the same manner as all other vacancies. SECTION 2. The City of Stephenville Code of Ordinances, Chapter 32 Departments, Boards and Commissions, Article 11— Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Section 32.23(8)Attendance is hereby amended by repealing the current section in its entirety and replacing it with the following: Sec. 32.23(B)Attendance Two absences from meetings of the advisory board in a twelve-month period shall be considered a voluntary resignation. The council shall fill vacancies created by voluntary resignations in the same manner as all other vacancies. SECTION 3. The City of Stephenville Code of Ordinances, Chapter 32 Departments, Boards and Commissions, Article III — Library Advisory Board, Section 32.38(B) Attendance is hereby amended by repealing the current section in its entirety and replacing it with the following: Sec. 32.38(B) Attendance Two absences from meetings of the advisory board in a twelve-month period shall be considered a voluntary resignation. The council shall fill vacancies created by voluntary resignations in the same manner as all other vacancies. SECTION 4. The City of Stephenville Code of Ordinances, Chapter 32 Departments, Boards and Commissions, Article IV— Senior Citizens' Advisory Board Section 32.53(B) Attendance is hereby amended by repealing the current section in its entirety and replacing it with the following: Sec. 32.53(B)Attendance -- Two absences from meetings of the advisory board in a twelve-month period shall be considered a voluntary resignation. The council shall fill vacancies created by voluntary resignations in the same manner as all other vacancies. SECTION 5. The City of Stephenville Code of Ordinances, Chapter 32 Departments, Boards and Commissions, Article V — Tourism and Visitors Bureau Advisory Board Section 32.68(B) Attendance is hereby amended by repealing the current section in its entirety and replacing it with the following: Sec. 32.68(B) Attendance Two absences from meetings of the advisory board in a twelve-month period shall be considered a voluntary resignation. The council shall fill vacancies created by voluntary resignations in the same manner as all other vacancies. SECTION 6. The City of Stephenville Code of Ordinances, Chapter 154, Section 154.20 Planning and Zoning Commission — Rules of Procedure is hereby amended by repealing 154.20.2.F(4) in its entirety and replacing it with the following: 154.20.2.F (4) Three consecutive absences from meetings of the commission shall be considered voluntary resignation. In addition, four absences in any twelve-month period shall be considered a voluntary resignation. The council shall fill vacancies created by voluntary resignations in the same manner as all other vacancies. SECTION 7. The City of Stephenville Code of Ordinances, Chapter 154, Section 154.21.2F Board of Adjustment - AMES Rules of Procedure is hereby amended by repealing Section 154.21.2F(4) in its entirety and replacing it with the following: 154.21.2.F (4) Three consecutive absences from meetings of the commission shall be considered voluntary resignation. In addition, four absences in any twelve-month period shall be considered a voluntary resignation. The council shall fill vacancies created by voluntary resignations in the same manner as all other vacancies. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
