AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE PERSONNEL POLICY AND PROCEDURE MANUAL
SECTION 5.06 "LONGEVITY PAY" AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
Whereas, on March 6, 2018, the City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, adopted the City
of Stephenville Personnel Policy and Procedure Manual; and
Whereas, Section 5.06 "Longevity Pay" requires that employees receive longevity pay as a single
payment once per year; and
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Stephenville wishes to amend this policy to allow the
option of a single payment or equally divided payments with each pay cycle.
NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Stephenville,Texas
Section 1
Section 5.06, Section C"Payment" is amended to read as follows:
C. Payment
Longevity payments will be based on the employee's anniversary date (one full year). Payments
will be paid beginning after their first year is complete. Employees will have the option to receive
longevity pay once per year on the last pay period in November or equally divided and payable
during each pay cycle. All employees hired after April 1, 2018 will be required to receive their
longevity payment once per year on the last pay period of November.
Section 2
This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage date.
