It was moved by Alderman Hedrick, seconded by Alderman
Wood, that the base bid of $58,700.00 on the General Contract
by K. A. Sparks of Hamilton be accepted. Motion carried, Alder-
man Reed requested be to recorded as voting "No."
It was moved by Alderman Reed, seconded by Alderman Fer-
guson, that Base Bid of $3,115.00 on the Electrical Contract
by Lowery Electric of Stephenville be accepted. Motion carried
unanimously.
It was moved by Alderman Clements, seconded by Alderman
Frey, that Base Bid of $6,082.00 by Wilson Flumbin& Co. of
Hillsboro on the Plumbing Contract be accepted. Motion carried
unanimously.
It was moved by Alderman Reed, seconded by Alderman Roach,
that the alternate bid on a Servel gas fired unit for $7,070.95
by Morgan Electric of Stephenville be accepted. Motion carried
unanimously.
It was moved by Alderman Frey, seconded by Alderman Mays,
that Mr. Stanley Brown be paid $2,249.03 which is one half his
architect fees. Motion carried unanimously.
Mr. Singleton, of Texas Power & Light Co., discussed the
changing of.approximately 67 street lights from 1000 lumen to
2500 lumen watt lights. It was moved by Alderman Reed, seconded
by Alderman Ferguson, that the City allow Texas Power & Light Co.
to replace 67 1000 lumen street lights as they burn out with
2500 watt lumen lamps. Motion carried unanimously.
Alderman Clements discussed the Audit prepared by Hale &
Crimmins, after which it was moved by Alderman Mays, seconded
by Alderman Wood, that the City approve and accept such audit
for the year 1952-53, and pay Hale & Crimmins $375.00. Motion
carried unanimously.
There being no other business at this time, the Council
stood adjourned subject to the Mayor's call.
