August 12, 1960.
The City Council met in called meeting on this date with Mayor Evans presiding
and the following aldermen presents Virgil Dickerson, I. D. Reynolds, Albert Graves,
Raymond Anderson, Scott D. Reed and J. P. Hedrick,
Mayor Evans stated the purpose of the meeting was to consider the sale of some
land near the City Airport.
Alderman Reynolds reported there is approximately 62.69 acres of land that we
are being offered $90.00 per acre, and approximately 14.08 acres we have been offered
0200.00 per acre.
After discussion, it was moved by Alderman Reynolds, seconded by Alderman Dick-
erson, to authorize the Mayor to sign deeds for the above mentioned tracts of land,
also, that Jack Farrar receive 5% commission on the sale of the approximately 62.69
acres of land. , Motion carried.
There being no other business at this time, the Council stood a ourned subject
to the Mayor's call.
