The Council met in regular session with Mayor Jones presiding and the following
members present: Doug Smithey, Toby Stone, Jack Curtis, Raymond Anderson, Garland
Loudermilk, Charles Riggins, Larry Hammett.
Others present were City Adiministrator Cates, Director of Public Works Gann, City
Attorney Chandler, Director of Parks and Recreation Isham, Firemarshall Ferguson and
Acting Chief Stone.
Minutes of previous meetings were read. It was moved by Councilman Loudermilk and
seconded by Councilman Stone to accept these minutes as read. Motion carried.
Mayor Jones recommended that at all future regular meetings, only thinsson the agenda
be acted.upon.
It was moved by Councilman Smithey and seconded by Councilman Stone that a majority
vote of the council would be needed to act on something other than items on the agenda.
Mrs Rahe appeared before the council in behalf of the Girl Scouts, with a request that
the scouts be able to build a new scout house on City owned property across Harbin drive
from the J.C.es's Park. It was decided to have the Girl Scouts provide specifications
of this scout house before approval.
Marvin Tolar appeared , stated he had trouble with numerous dogs on adjacent property.
He would like something done about this. It was decided to have Mr. Chandler check about
the possibility of an Ordinance regulating dogs.
