HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-08-02 Ordinance Declairing Tarleton Heights AdditionORDINANCE FINDING AND DECLARING CERTAIN STREETS AND P011TIONS OF STREETS IN TARLETON HEIGHTS ADDITION IN S'TEPHENVILLE, TEXAS TO HAVE BEEP, ABANDONED AS STREETS, ORDERING SAME VACATED AND CLOSED AND AUfRORlLING MAYOH TO EXECUTE A QUITCLAIM DEED TO THE OWiNEIIS OF ADJACENT LANDS TO SAID STREETS CONVEYING SAME. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' STEPHENVILLE: 6 I Section One Those streets and portions of streets in the Tarleton Heights Addition in the City of Stephenville in Erath County, Texas, shownon the plat of said addition recorded in Volume 77 at page 318 of the Deed Records of Erath County, Texas and also shown on Kind s Revised (1947) Map of Stephenville, Texas and being the following: Iloosevelt Avenue from the North line of Frey Street to the South line of Lingleville 3oad; McKinley Avenue from the North line of Frey Street to the South line of Lingleville Road; Cleveland Avenue from the :worth line of Asti Street to the South line of Lingleville Road; Harrison Avenue from the North line of Asti Street to the South line of Lingleville Road; Garfield Avenue from the North line of Ash Street to the South line of Lingleville Road; Blackjack Street from Iloosevelt Avenue to the West line of Lillian Avenue; Post Oak Street from Roosevelt Avenue to the West line of Lillian Avenue; Asti Street from Roosevelt Avenue to the West line of Cleveland Avenue; and Mulberry Street from Hoosevelt Avenue to West line of Cleveland Avenue; have been abandoned because never used as streets since the dedica- tion thereof by the owners of the property out oL' which they came and same have been abandoned and hereby are formally declared vacated and closed. Section Two Henry Clare., Mayor of the City of Stephenville, hereby is authorized and directed to execute to the present owners of adjacent property and who are the successors intitle to the original dedi- cator fo said Tarleton Heights Addition, and who are Willard Chamberlin, Jr., Frank A. Chamberlin, Cecil R. Chamberlin and Emmie Chamberlain, wife of H. B. Chamberlain, in consideration of the pay- ment to the City of Stephenville of the sum of �75.00 a quitclaim deed covering said streets and portions of streets mentioned and set out in Section One Above and conveying the interest of the City of Stephenville therein to the persons named, which deed shall be attested by the City Secretary of the City of Stephenville with the seal of the city placed thereon by said secretary.
