It was moved by Alderman Ferguson, seconded by Alderman White,
that the following notice for City Depository bid for the coming
year be advertised:
NOTICE
.Iotice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of
Stephenville, Texas, will receive sealed proposals for the custody of
City Funds of said City, from any banking corporation, association
or individual bankers doing business within the City of Stephenville.
All banking corporations, associations or individual bankers desir-
ing to be selected as the Depository of the funds of said City shall
file their sealed bids :with Rex Ti. Cates, City Secretary, on or be-
fore the 5th day of July, 1955, stating the rate percent upon daily
balance that such bidder offers to pay to the City for the next year
following the date above mentioned. All such proposals shall be
securely kept by the City Secretary and shall not be opened until
the 5th day of July, 1955, at which time the City Council of said
City shall meet for the purpose of passing upon the same, and no
proposals will be received after such sealed bids have been opened.
The Council reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
The motion carried unanimously.
Alderman White introduced a Resolution and moved that it be
adopted. The move was seconded by Alderman Hancock and carried with
it the adoption of the following Resolution:
AESOLUTION
Resolved, by the City Council of the City of Stephenville,
Texas, that the County Radio Operators of the Stephenville, Erath
County Radio Transmitter are authorized to act as agents of the
City of Stephenville to operate said radio transmitter at such
times as they may be so operating it.
Adopted and approved this 7th day of June, 1955.

A letter from Mr. W. W. Finley was read to the Council in
which he was requesting information as to what had been done re-
garding the south proposed by-pass highway. This was discussed and it
was suggested that the City Secretary notify Mr. Finley that the
City Council would meet in a called session in approximately two weeks
at which time they would try and decide what could be done concern-
ing this proposed south by-pass highway.
It was moved by Alderman Hancock, seconded by Alderman White,
that $2000.00 be transferred from the General Fund to the Park Fund.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Alderman Hedrick, seconded by Alderman Ferguson,
that $1000.00 be transferred from the General Fund to the R & B Fund.
Motion carried.
It was moved by Alderman White, seconded by Alderman Murray, that
all bills and accounts be allowed and ordered paid. Motion carried.
There being no ot.har business at this time, the Council stood
adjourned subject to the Mayors call.
