IIay 4, 1943.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Te,.as, met in
ular session on the above date, with Mayor J. W. Clements
siding and the following aldermen present: Dan Lane, T. R.
re, Bras Cole, T. G. Funk, C. E. I,Iartin, C. A. P,IcDonald and
E. Richardson.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved.
It was moved by C. A. IaicDonald, seconded by Dan Lane, that
Council approve.tlie buying of aw2500.00 liar Bond out of the
er Deposit Fund. Lotion carried.
The matter of par'-ing on the City lot east of the Jail was
presented and after discussion it was referred to the Law and
Order Committee for a system to be worked out.
It was moved by S. E. Richardson, seconded by Bras Cole, tha
J. -L. Johnson's salary be raised to $18.00 per week. Motion
carried.
The application of Dr. T. I.R. Gordon for City Health Officer LI
!was read and discussed. It was moved by C. E. Martin, seconded
by Dan Lane, that Dr. Gordon be hired as Health Officer, effective;;
May 1, 1943. Motion carried.
It was moved by C. A. McDonald, seconded by T. G. Funk, that'l
;all City employees be rehired for another year at their present
;sa.laries. Motion. carried.
Bills and accounts were read and on motion by C. A. McDonald'
.seconded by Dan Lane, were allowed and ordered paid.
There being no other business at this time, the Council stood.
