Decerioer 2, 1941.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in
regular session on December 2, 1941, with 1.:ayor J. W. Clements
presiding and the following aldermen present: Dan Lane, Fred
NcCleskey, Dan Goodgame, L. higgins, Doyle Vvhite, and C. A. Mc-
Donald.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved.

Doyle '�+hite, that the signal lights at the Ward and Junior High
Schools be tabled at present. Yotion carried.
It w^.s moved by Fred NcCleskey, seconded by L. higgins, that
the City insure the City Hall building with 1'r. Oren H. Ellis in
the amo,,nt of A6,000.00. Notion carried.
A petition was presented to the City Council asking that the'!
City hire another night policeman. It was moved by Doyle Vihite,
seconded by Dan Goodgame, that the above matter be tabled. Notion
carried.
Due to the fact that some of the employees had ask for a
raise in salary, the Mayor asked Dan Goodgame and the finance
committee to investigate the salary of each person employed by the:;
City by next regular meeting.
The Council authorized the Itayor to contact the Commissioners)
Court for the purpose of seaut1r;gthe permanent residents of two
Highway Patrolmen in the City of Stephenville.
Rills and accounts were read and on motion by C. A. McDonald,'
seconded by Dan Lane, were allowed and ordered paid.
There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned
in an adjourned regular meeting, subject the the mayor's call.
