BE IT ORD/';INED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF ME CITY OF STEPHENVILLE-
'';1 There is hereby created the office of Deputy Assessor• and
Collector of Taxes of the City of Stephenville, hicli shall be
filled by appointment of the City Council of the City of Step-
henville. The duties of this office shall consist of assisting
the Tax %-ssessor and Collector of the City of Stephenville in

-11 the duties of his office and such Deputy Assessor and Col-
lector of Taxcs shall have the right and authority to prepare
statements, receipts and certificates stating facts reflected
by the tax records of the City of Stephenville and lie shall have
the right and authority to certify to such facts as Deputy As-
sessor and Collector of Taxes of the City of Stephenville and
impress on any such receipt, stateraent or certificate the seal
of the City of Stephenville. Such Deputy Assessor and Collector
of Taxes shall execute one bond paycble to
the Yayor of the City
of Stephenville in the sum ofQiyv rite(
DOLLARS, conditioned upon the faithful performance of the duties
of his office, and one bond in the sum of

DOLLARS payable to the Tsx_ Assessor and

Collector of the City of Stephenville, conditioned upon the faith
ful performance of all the duties of his office. The person

appointed as Deputy Assessor and Collector of Taxes for the City
of Stephenville shall be subject to removal from such office by

the City Council of the City of Stephenville s.t any time.
1 The fact that there is an imperative public necessity that
is Deputy :.ssessor and Collector of Taxes for the City of Stephen-
ville be appointed requires that this ordinance go into effect
immediately from and after its pas -,age.
