Stephenville, Texas
February 17, 1941.
The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned
regular meeting on February 17, 1941, with Mayor Clements and the
following Aldermen present: L. Riggins, T. T. Oliver, Doyle Whib
Chas. Neblett Jr., H. D. Barham, Jack Henderson and Fred McCleske:
The purchase of grounds to drill a water well was discussed,
after which 1t was moved by Doyle White, seconded by Fred Me-
Cleakey, that the Water Committee purchase Lot 4, Block 2, M. & ti
Addition, from Mrs. Jack Henderson, provided such lot can be
bought for $350.00. The motion was carried.
It was moved by L. Riggins, seconded by Jack Henderson, that
the Fire Committee proceed to have the City Hall reroofed. Motioi
carried.
It was moved by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by Doyle White,
that the Mayor order an election to be held on April 1, 1941, for
the purpose of electing four City Aldermen (one to be elected
from each ward). Motion carried.
There being nothing further to come before the Council at
this time, motion and second were made to adjourn.
