The City Council met in a called regular meeting on
Evans presiding and the following councilmen present: I.

Councilman Reynolds reported it had been brought to his attention that the Hall
Hotel building was extended over on City property approximately 8 in. on the north
side and approximately 18 in. on the west, that Mr. Burette Stone had requested a
Quit Claim Deed for this portion of property. After some discussion, it was moved
by Councilman Reynolds, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that Mayor Evans be author -
ized`to sign a Quit Claim Deed for this portion of the Hotel now on City property
and Mr. Stone to pay the City x$25.00. Motion carried.
At this time Mr. Gann made his progress report of work done by the Department
of Public Works for the past month.
Councilman Orbison reported the bids specifications on the fire truck and
equipment were being changed and it.would be re- advertised in the very near future.
Councilman Reynolds and his committee reported on their recommendations for
changing parking meter ordinance. Their recommendations were as follows:
25¢ fine for each hour of violation if parking ticket not paid by 6:00 o1clock
P. M. of that same day. Fine would then be$,J'�OO'W Upon notice being written the fine
then would be 63.00. Failure to pay on written notice after 10 days to be filed in
City Court fine to be •$3.00 and cost of court.
After further discussion, it was moved by Councilman Huey, seconded by Council-
man Swain, that City Attorney Chandler be authorized to prepare an ammendment to t4s
parking meter ordinance as recommended above. Motion carried.
It was moved by Councilman Geeslin, seconded by Councilman Reynolds, that or-
dinance prohibiting the parking of motor vehicles, trailers and trailer houses hav-
ing a width in excess of seven feet or a height from the ground to the highest point
thereof in excess of seven feet on any public street in the City of Stephenville,
except within two blocks of the Public Square of the City of Stephenville in any dir-
ection, between the hours of 6 :00 P. M. and 6 :00 A. M. (Said ordinance being attached
to and becoming a part of these minutes). Motion carried.
At this time a letter was read from Mr. Charles R. Ryan, Business Manager of
Stephenville Hospital -1z Clinic, requesting the alley running north and south between
Lots 7 -8 and 5 -6, Block 96, City Addition, be closed by ordinance, and requesting
a Quit Claim Deed covering this area occupied by this alley. After, some discussion,-
it was moved by Councilman Orbison, secondec by Councilman Huey, that Mayor Evans
be authorized to sign a Quit Claim Deed for the alley between Lots 7 -8 and 5 -6-
Block 96, City Addition, for the sum of $25.00, to the Stephenville Hospital and
Clinic and the Stephenville Hospital Real Estate Co. Motion carried.
There being no other business, the Council stood
Mayor's call.
