The City Council met in called session on this date with Mayor Pro -Tem Riggins presiding and the following aldermen present: Virgil Dickerson, I. D. Reynolds, Albert Graves, Raymond Anderson, and J. P. Hedrick. Alderman Hedrick reported the appointed committee recommended the bid of Sin - Clair Refining Company be accepted. It was moved by Alderman Reynolds, seconded by A lderman Graves, to accept the bid of Sinclair Refining Company to furnish the City with gasoline for a period of 1 year, prices 19.65 for regular, and 23.15 for ethyl gasoline. Motion carried. It was moved by Alderman Dickerson, seconded by Alderman Graves, to lease the lot west of the entrance to the Greenview Addition to Cecil Smithey for $20.00 per month. Motion carried. It was moved by Alderman Dickerson, seconded by Alderman Anderson,.to accept the bid of Browning-Ferris Machinery Company for a 3 yard Street Sweeper, at a total price of $8660.00. This bid subject to the seller furnishing personell to instruct us how to operate this machine. notion carried unanimously. Mayor Pro -Tem Riggins reported the Stephenville State Bank will loan the City money to buy this sweeper, and a rate of interest should be agreed upon. The Council agreed to pay 4% interest on this money. It was moved by Alderman Dickerson, seconded by Alderman Anderson, to authorize the Mayor to sign a note to borrow the above mentioned money, this to be attested by the City Secretary. Motion carried. There being no other business at this date, the Council tood adined subject to the Mayor's call. Mayor Pro -Tem. ATTEST:` Secretary. JI
