February 16, 1968
The City Council met in a called meeting on the above date with Mayor Arthur
presiding and the following Council members present: Robert Herrin, Mrs. Doyle
White,,Charles Riggins, W. M. Irwin, Telefus Cawyer, Raymond Anderson, and Mrs.
Fred McCleskey.
It was moved by Councilman Irwin and seconded by Councilman Riggins to adopt
an ordinance declaring that certain alley situated morth of lot 4 and south of
lot 3 -B in block 63 in the City of Stephenville, Texas be abandonded as an alley,
and ordering some vacated and closed. The motion carried unanimously. (Said
ordinance being attached to and becoming a part of .these minutes.)
It was moved by Councilman Cawyer and seconded by Councilman Herrin to offer
the Industrial Foundation their money back; which is $200.00 plus 6% interest, for
land located on the west side of Harbin Drive near the Lingleville highway.
The motion carried unanimously.
There being no other business at this time, the Counc' stood adjourned subject
to the Mayor's call.

ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT CERTAIN ALLEY SITUATED NORTH OF LOT 4 AND SOUTH OF
LOT 3 -B IN BLOCK 63 IN THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, TO HAVE BEEN ABANDONED
AS AN ALLEY, AND ORDERING SAME VACATED AND CLOSED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE:
Section One
Scott D. Reed, owner of Lot 3 -B in Block 63 in the City of Stephen-
ville and situated North of that certain alley running through such block as
shown on King's 1956 Map of Stephenville at page 829 thereof, and Lillie D.
Trewitt, owner of Lot 4 situated South of said alley, having petitioned the City
Council to close said alley, and these owners being all the owners of real
property abutting this alley, and it being found that said alley has been
abandoned and is no longer used nor needed for alley purposes, said alley men-
tioned is hereby declared to have been abandoned for street purposes and this
alley is hereby ordered vacated, abandoned and closed as an alley.
Section Two
Said area of land formerly the alley hereinabove mentioned and which
is closed and vacated as an alley of the City of Stephenville shall be subject
to future action and disposition of the City of Stephenville.
