April 25, 1969
The City Council met in a called meeting on the above date with Mayor Arthur
presiding and the following members present: Don Metsgar, Garland Loudermilk,
Charles Riggins, Jack Curtis, Raymond Anderson, and Mrs. Fred McCleskey,
Mayor explained that the purpose of this meeting is to hold public hearing on
change of zoning of property immediately west of the college.
Mrs. Clara Meehan, and John Skipper appeared before the council as citizens
interested in the change of zoning. There was no one appeared in opposition to
the proposed change of zoning.
It was moved by Councilman Riggins, seconded by Councilman Loudermilk, to accept
recomendations of Zoning Board and zoning be changed from Residence 2 to Business
1 of lots 1A, 1B, 1C, 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 29, Park Place and lots 15, 160 27,
and 28, Block B -30, Groesbeck and McClelland Addition. Motion carried unanimously.
It was moved by Councilman Metsgar, seconded by Councilman Riggins, to accept the
preliminary plat of the Edgewood Addition as recomended by the engineers.and the
City Planning Commission. Motion carried unanimously.
Councilman Curtis was appointed a member of the annexation committee in place of
Telefus Cawyer who is no longer a member of the city council.
It was moved by Councilwoman McCleskey. seconded by Councilman Curtis, to approve
the complaint form as presented by the City Secretary. Motion carried unanimously.
