The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in Special Session,
Tuesday, March 8, 1977, at 3:00 p.m. with Mayor Donald R. Jones present and pre-
siding. Councilmembers W.M.Irwin, Charles Riggins, Raymond Anderson and Betty
Heath'were present. Councilmen Jim Chambers, Calvin McGee, Ermer Ferguson and
Larry Hammett were absent.

of Pu�ilic Works R.Y. Gann, Assistant City Attorney Randolph Chandler, Tax Assessor -
Colleltor Robert Groves, Mr. Nelson Gonyaw, Mr. Bob Shelton, Mr. James Ramsey, Mr.
Raymond Rhodes, Mr. Jerry Singleton, Mr. J.W.Beck, Mr. Jim Bachus and City Secretary
JoyceilPemberton.
Mayor Jones called the meeting to order and explained that the purpose of this
meeting was to discuss the final plat for the River North Subdivision.
Mayor Jones advised the Council that only the plat for the 126 lots adjacent to
the LIngleville Highway at the end of 0llie Street was being submitted for approval
at this time.
ayor Jones explained that the alley easements are now dedicated for the specific
use of water, sewer, electrical, telephone and cable television lines and
not il�ltended for use of collection of garbage or garbage vehicles in any manner.
Mayor Jones pointed out that the provisions for utilities are not shown on this
plat and that approval of the plat will be contingent upon the utility lines being
accepted by Director of Public Works R. Y. Gann and it should be understood that
approval of the plat in its present condition (a contingent approval) that it could
not b recorded, no lots could be sold and no building permits issued until such
time As the utility lines are approved by Mr. Gann.
ouncilman Irwin made the motion, seconded by Councilwoman Heath, to approve this
final plat of 126 lots, subject to approval of the utility lines and drainage by the
Director of Public Works R. Y. Gann and that the plat not be of record until these have
been e, proved by Mr. Gann. The motion carried unanimously.
Jayor Jones set Monday, March 14, 1977, at 3:00 p.m. for a Special Session to
discuss adopting a franchise for Lone Star Gas.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 3:30 p.m.'
