MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE
CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, HELD ON
TUESDAY, APRIL 13, 1982 - 3:00 P.M.
A called meeting of the City Council of the City of Stephenville,
Texas, was called to order by the Mayor with the following members present:
Mayor Joe F. Cummings Councilman Charles Riggins
Councilman G. A. Swindle Councilman Raymond Anderson
Councilman John Pollan Councilman E. W. Ferguson
Councilman W. G. Brede Councilman David Clayton _J
and with the following member absent: Ray Reynolds.
City Administrator Kurt Ackermann, City Secretary Joyce Pemberton,
Director of Finance Charlene Young, and David Cheatham were present.
ITEM I: REPORT FROM DAVID CHEATHAM, CHAIRMAN OF THE RECOUNT
COMMITTEE.
Mr. David Cheatham, chairman of the Recount Committee, reported that
the Committee did recount the ballots cast for Place 4 in the April 3,
1982 City Officers Election. The results of the recount are as follows:
William G. Brede----------------- -527
Ross J. Musso --------------------- 523
Ballots with no vote------ - - - - -- - 26
Total Ballots Counted------ - - - - -- 0-76 —
Councilman Anderson moved acceptance of the report from the Recount
Committee as presented by Mr. Cheatham. (Copy on file). Councilman
Ferguson made the second. The motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: All members present
NOES: None
ITEM II. DISCUSS PROPOSED ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A "B -4"
ZONING DISTRICT..
After discussion, Counilman Riggins moved to forward the draft of
the proposed ordinance creating a "B -4" zoning district to the Planning
and Zoning Commission for their study and recommendations. Councilman
Brede made the second. The motion carried by the following vote:
AYES: All members present
NOES, None
There being no other business to come before the Council, Mayor
Cummings adjourned the meeting at 3:30 p.m.
