CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, HELD ON
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, 1986 - 8:00 A.M.
A special session of the City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, was called
to order by Mayor David Clayton with the following members present:
Mayor: David Clayton
G.A. "Pinkie" Swindle
Members: Bob Self
Jim McSwain
Larry Hammett
Ray Reynolds
Bill Brede
Larry Tatum
Allen Horne
and with the following members absent: None
City Administrator Kurt Ackermann, City Secretary_ Joyce Pemberton, and Director of
Finance Charlene Young were also present.
Mayor David Clayton recessed the open meeting and called the City Council into execu-
tive session as provided in the Open Meetings Law, V.T.C.S., Article 6252 -17, Section
2(f) for the purpose of discussing the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real
property.
Mayor Clayton reconvened the City Council into open session and the following action
was taken-
Councilman Bill Brede moved that the City of Stephenville make an offer of $300,00.00
for the purchase of the Sunbelt Savings Association property located at 422 W.
Washington Street. Councilman Allen Horne seconded the motion. The motion carried
by the following roll call vote: -
Larry Tatum - yes
Jim MCSwain - yes
David Clayton - no
Bill Brede yes
Bob Self - yes
Ray Reynolds - yes
G. A. Swindle - no
Allen Horne - yes
Larry Hammett - no
There being no other business to came before the Council, Mayor David Clayton
adjourned the meeting at 9:45 a.m.

ORDINANCE NO. 1986 -22
AN ORDINANCE REZONING THE LAND DESCRIBED FROM THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF B-2 "SECONDARY & HIGHWAY BUSINESS DISTRICT" TO B-2/MH "MANUFACTURED
HOUSING DISTRICT ".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE:
That certain land in the City of Stephenville and being 2,36
acres of Lot 8, Block 13, Sims Addition, also ]mown as 314
Morgan Mill Road.
and it is hereby rezoned and the zoning classification thereof is
hereby changed fran the classification of B-2 "Secondary & Highway
Business District" to B-2/MH "Manufactured Housing District ". Said
land is fran this date zoned as B-2/MH "Manufactured Housing District,
in accordance with the zoning ordinance of the City of Stephenville.

ORDINANCE NO. 1986 -23
AN ORDINANCE REZONING THE LAND DESCRIBED FROM THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF R -1 "SINGLE- FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT" TO B-2 "SECONDARY & HIGHWAY
BUSINESS DISTRICT ".
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE:
That certain land in the City of Stephenville and being 12.412
acres of the [aim. Motley Survey, Abstract 515, Erath County,
Texas, and being located adjacent to FM 988.
and it is hereby rezoned and the zoning classification thereof is
hereby changed fran the classification of R -1 "Single - Family Dwelling
District" to B-2 "Secondary & Highway Business District ". Said land
is from this date zoned as B-2 "Secondary & Highway Business District ",
in accordance with the zoning ordinance of the City of Stephenville.

ALL that certain lot, tract or parcel of land out of the Wm. Motley Survey,
Abstract No. 515, being part of Lot No. 7 of Block No. 156 of the City of
Stephenville, Erath County, Texas and described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron rod set in the east right of way line of Farm Road No. 988,
for the NW corner of this tract, from which the SE corner of Lot No. 7 of Block
No. 156 of the City of Stephenville bears S 190 43' E, 788.21, S 640 43' 47" E,
141.48' and N 700 16' 12" E, 620.01.
THENCE N 190 43' W along the east right of way line of Farm Road No. 988,
303.14' to an iron rod found in place at the beginning of a curve for a corner
of this tract;
THENCE in a northerly direction along the east line of said highway, being along
a curve to the right, radius = 2486.481, long chord N 040 55' 34" W, 1269.141,
along a curve distance of 1283.34' to an iron rod set for the north corner of
this tract, being in the west line of the Irma King tract;
THENCE S 290 36' E along the west line of the Irma King tract, 804.08' to an
iron rod found in place at a fence corner post at the NW corner of Lot 8 of
Block 156, for a corner of this tract;
THENCE S 280 44' 08" E along a fence line along the west line of said Lot 8,
656.54' to an iron rod set for the SE corner of this tract;
THENCE S 610 15' 52" W, 571.98' to the place of beginning and containing 12.412
acres of land.
