August 3, 1943.
'The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in
regular session on August 3, 1943, with Mayor J. W. Clements
presiding -and the following aldermen present: Bras Cole, Dan
Lane, Reecie Jones, T. R. Moore, T. G. Funk and C. A. McDonald.
Minutes of previous meeting was read and approved.
Mr. Yates Stafford came before the Council asking to buy the,
Air Port Hanger. After disoussion, the Council decided to adver-'!
ties and take sealed bids for the hanger (size 40 a 60 ft.). 1
It was moved by Reeoie Jones, seconded by Bras Cole, that
the City accept the Stej%neville State Bank bond as the City
Depository for the ensuing year. Motion carried.

The 1942 Delinquent Tax Roll was presented for approval, and
it was moved by Dan Lane, seconded by T. R. Moore, that same be
accepted and approved. Motion carried.
A claim of $90.00 filed by Mr. E. K. Jones, and one of$60.00
by Mrs. W. F. Jarrott, as damages done by fire to their pastures,';,
of posts, grass and wood. After discussion, it was moved by
T. G. Funk, seconded by Bras Cole, that Dan Lanese Sewer Committee
adjust the claims with both parties. Motion carried.
It was moved by C. A. McDonald, seconded by Bras Cole, that
the Plumber Bonds be approved with a letter attached stating that)
all work must be inspected, and that no plumber will be allowed
to tie into the City mains --all tying in must be done by City
Inspector. Motion carried.
Bills and accounts were read and on motion by C. A. McDonald,
seconded by T. R. Moore, were allowed and ordered paid.
There being no other business at this date, the Council stood
adjourned in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayortili
call.
