The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in n adjourned regular meeting on the above date, with Mayor J. W. laments and the following aldermen present: Dan Lane, Reecie ones, S. E. Richardson, C. A. McDonald, T. R. Poore, C. E. Mart nd Bras Cole. The Mayor stated the purpose of the meeting was to announce various committees and to elect a Mayor Pro-Tem. It was moved by Bras Cole, seconded by Dan Lane, that C. A. ald be elected Mayor Pro-Tem. Motion carried. It was moved by C. A. McDonald, seconded by Reecie Jones, the Mayor be allowed authority to appoint two aldermen to work with the Chamber of Commerce Committee in securing information la municipal airport. Motion carried. It was moved by T. R. Moore, seconded by C. E. Martin, that Bob Feagan's salary be raised to `;;535.00 per month, effective Apr 1, 1943. Motion carried. There being no other business at this time, the Council sto adjourned in an adjourned regular meeting subject to the Mayor's call. ` L Mayor. TTEST: City Secretary. Stephenville, Texas April 6, 1943. The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in regular session on the above date, with Mayor J. V". Clements. and. the following aldermen present: Dan Lane, T. R. Moore, Leonard Fenner, Fred McCleskey, Brea Cole, C. A. McDonald, C. E. Martin and Reecie Jones. Mayor Clements being late, the Council was called to order by Fred LMcCleskey, Mayor Pro-Tem. Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved. Bill Lockhart came before the Council stating that Mack Creswell and K, F. Reed's drive-in curb lines vrere very low and ivhen it rained the !eater from the street came over and would stand under his and several other neighbor houses. :"£ter dis- cussion, it was n.oved by C. A. I„icDonald, seconded by Bras Cole, that Percy Anderson contact the property owners and make such repair needed, in order to correct the drainage. Iaiotion carried.': City Election. returns of April 6, 1943, vrere canvassed, and on motion by C. E. Martin, occonded by Leonard Fenner, that the following aldermen were duly elected: Two year terms, 'Guard # 11 S. E. Richardson; Ward # 2, T. R. Moors; Ward # 3, Dan Lane; 'tvard,' 4, C. A. McDonald; the unexpired term of one year in o,ard # 4, T. G. Funk. Each of the above candidates received thirty-two votes. Motion carried. It aa.s moved by Reecie Jones, seconded by Bras Cole, that the 1929 taxes of T. H. Perry value be reduced so that the tax, penalty, interest and cost, equal the original amount of w40.31. ',,lotion carried. IvTayor J. 17. Clements now entering the chair. Bills and accounts were read and on motion by C. A. McDonald, seconded by Leonard Fenner, were allowed and ordered paid.
