Stephenville, Texas
November 3, 1942.
The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in regular
session on November 3, IM, with Mayor J. We Clements presiding
and the following Aldermen present: Bras Cole, G. Be Martin,
Dan Lane, Fred McCleskey, T. R. Moore, Reecie Jones, Leonard
Fenner and C. A. McDonald.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved.
Mr. S. Be Leatherman came before the Coun&il asking for $36,'0
.for twelve days work,being the part he thought the City was due
to pay for gathering up junk iron over the county. After discuss on,
It was moved by C. Be Martin, seconded by Fred McCleskey, that th
City pay Mr. Leatherman the sum of $25.00 for the twelve days
Motion carried.
Messrs. Be R. Moon and Hugh Be Smith appeared before the
Council asking for a lease on the Legion Hall east of town. After}
disdussion, it was moved by Fred McCleskey, seconded by C. Be
Martin, that the City lease the Hall to the American Legion for a'',
period of years, with a resolution attached to these

It`was moved by Dan Lane, seconded by C. Be Martin that the!;
City of Stephenville pay Texas Municipalities a fee of 150,00 as
membership for one year. Motion carried.

It was moved by T. R. Moore, seconded by Dan Lane, that the
Mayor be authorized to pay $3.00 per day on scrap iron drive, so
long as he deemed it necessary. Mptipw carried.
It was moved by C. E. Martin, seconded by Dan Lane, that Mr.;!
J. Be Reddew pay the full amount of his October and November water
bills. Motion carried.

It was moved by T. R. Moore, seconded by C. A. McDonald, that
the City insure the old pavilion at the City Park in the amount
of $1500.00,with Bras Cole, for one year. Motion carried.
Bills and accounts were read and on motion by C. A. MoDonaldp
seconded by Fred McCleskey, were allowed and ordered paid.
y There being no other business, the Council stood adjourned I*
an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call.
