Stephenville, Texas
April 28, 1942.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in
an adjourned regular meeting on the above date, with Mayor J. W.
Clements presiding, and the following aldermen present: Dan Lane
Leonard Fenner, C. A. McDonald, C. E. Martin, T. R. Moore, Fred
MoCleskey,. Reeoie Jones, and Bras Cole.
A Conanittee composed of Dan Goodgame, Dr, J. C. Terrell, Ca
Birdwell and Garland Eubank, came before the Council asking for
authority to take an option on certain tracts of land for a
muniolpal air port. After discussion, it was moved by Reeoie
Jones, seconded by Dan Lane, that the City Council authorize the
Chamber of Commerce Airport Committee to take an option an oerta
tracts of land containing about 600 acres, with a maximum of $20
for option fees, sam to be taken in the name of the City of
Stephenville. Motion carried.
There being no other business, the Council stood adjourned
in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayorts call.
