March 3, 1942.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville, Texas, met in 'I
regular session on March 3, 1942, with Mayor J. W. Clements pre- '!
siding, and the following Aldermen present: Fred McCleskey, L.
Riggins, Chas. Neblett Jr., Dan Goodgame, Dan Lane, and C. A.
McDonald.
Minutes of previous meetings were read and approved.
It was moved by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by Fred McCleskey,
that the City* approve the Gulf States Telephone Company contract.a
Motion carried. (Copy hereto attached and being a part of these
minutes.)
Chas. Ross, Fire Truck Driver, came before the Council askinj
for $50.00 as expenses for the Fire Department. It was moved by
(II-q. Neblett Jr., seconded by Dan Lane, that the Fire Department;
be given the $50.00. Motion carried.
It was moved by Fred McCleskey, seconded by C. A. McDonald,
1 that the City approve the Blackout Ordinance. Motion carried.

Bills and accounts were read and on a motion by C. A. Me -
Donald, seconded by L. Riggins, were allowed and ordered paid.
There being no further business, the Council stood adjou
in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayorts call.
