ORDER FOR AN ELECTION
STATE OF TEXAS:
COUNTY OF ERATH:
CITY OF STEPHENVILLE:
On this the 3rd day of February, A. D., 1942, the City Council
of the City of Stephenville, Erath County, Texas, convened in
regular session at the Gity Hall in Stephenville, Texas, same bein
the regular meeting place thereof, with the following members
present, to -wit:
Mayor J. W. Clements; Aldermen L. Riggins, Dan Lane, Chas.
Neblett Jr., Dan Goodgame, Fred McCloskey, Doyle White, and
C. A. McDonald.
Among other business had by the City Council was the followint:
It was moved by Alderman Dan Lane, seconded by Alderman L.
Riggins, that an election be ordered held on the first Tuesday in
April, 1942, (same being the 7th day of April, 1942) for the pur-
pose of electing a Mayor and four Aldermen to serve a term of two
years each, as follows: One Alderman in Ward No. 1; One Alderman
in Ward No. 2; One Alderman in Ward No. 3; and One Alderman in
Ward No. 4.
Said election to be held in the manner and form as prescribed,;
by the laws of the State of Texas. Vote on the above motion was
called for and carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business to come before the Council,
motion was made and duly seconded to adjourn in an adjourned reg-
ular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call.

No. 2, to serve an unexpired term of one year.
Said election to be held in the manner and form as prescribed;
by the laws of the State of Texas. Vote on the above motion was
called for and carried by unanimous vote.

motion was made and duly seconded to adjourn in an adjourned reg-
ular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call.
