December, 1940, with Mayor Clements presid-
Aldermen present: L. Riggins, K. D. Hamilt
Oliver, Jack Henderson, Doyle White, Chas.
Barham.
Minutes of previous meeting were read and approved.
Reports of various committees was called for. Fred McCleske�
reported that the City had agreed to pay one half of the expense
of the Stephenville Sewing Room for an indefinite period.
Doyle White reported that A. D. Livingston, now owner of the
;J. D. Herring place of Frey St., would sell 8 ft. on the west sid4
lof said property for a consideration of 432.00.
Mayor Clements reported that an agreement had been made with
the N. Y. A. Girls Home that the City would pay $20.00 per month
on their house rent, and that the Home pay the City Water Works a
minimum charge of $10.00 per month for water.
It was moved by L. xiggins, seconded by Fred McCleskey, that
Itl-.e reports as above stated be accepted and approved. Motion dull
carried.
It. was moved by L. Riggins, seconded by Doyle Thite, that
the action of the City Council as taken on May 170 1940 (recorded
son page 188), in regard to purchase of lot on West side of Block
3, Butler Addition, owned at that date by the Te)ras Pacific Coal
'!and Oil Co., be rescinded. Motion carried.
The request of residents of the Belmont Addition for sewer
;connection was referred to the Sewer Committee.
It was moved by H. D. Barham, seconded by K. D. Hanilton, th
the authority to pave the Mrs. W. C. Hicks place be invested in t
paving committee. Motion carried.
Bills and accounts were read and on motion by Jack Henderson
seconded by T. T. Oliver, were allowed and ordered paid.
There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned
