The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in an adjourned regular meeting on the above date, with the following members present: Mayor Henry Clark, Aldermen Chas. Neblett Jr., Fred McCleskey, H. D. Barham, T. T. Oliver, K. D. Hamilton, L. Riggins and Jack Henderson. Mr. E. A. Blanchard appeared before the council asking for a donation to build an office at the airport. A motion was made by Fred McCloskey, seconded by Chas. Neblett Jr., that the City furnish material to build this office and that Mr. Blanchard do the construction work with no charge to the City. Notion carried, After discussion, a motion was made by H. D. Barham, seconde by T. D. Hamilton, that Mr. N. H. Anderson be paid his salary for January and February 1940 (less account due the City by Mr. Anderson), and be instructed by the Council to resign immediately as Water Works Superintendent. A vote on the motion was called f by the Mayor which resulted as follows: 5 Yeas. 2 Noes. The motion was declared as duly carried. A motion was made by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by K. D. Hamilton, that Mr. Percy Anderson be employed as Water Works Superintendent, to begin on January 4 1940, until end of City Officers fiscal year, at a salary of J135.00 per month, and to occupy the water works premises at once. The motion carried. There being no further business, the Council stood adjournedi, in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call. /GJ i� ATTEST: City Secretary. January 16, 1940. The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in adjourned regular meeting on the 16th df January, 1940. Members Present: Mayor Clark, Chas. Neblett Jr. H. D. Barham, Jack Henderson, Fred McCloskey, K. D. Hamilton, L. Riggins and T. T. Oliver. Mayor Clark stated the meeting was to discuss a milk ordinan now before the Council. Mr. Woodruff, of the State Health Depart ment, was present, and discussed the proposed ordinance, also or- dinance as provided by the State. No action was taken'in regard to the matter.
