Stephenville, Texas
September 7, 1939.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville met in an ad-
journed regular meeting on September 7, 1939, with Mayor Henry
Clark and the following Aldermen present: Jack Henderson, Fred
McCleske.y, H. D. Barham, K. D. Hamilton, T. T. Oliver, Geo. Minted,
and Chas. Neblett Jr.

The budget for the year 1939-1940 was presented by the City
Secretary. There was no objections registered, so a motion was
made by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by T. T. Oliver, that the
budget be accepted and approved. Motion carried.
Bids for the Depository of the City of Stephenville were
opened and read, after which a motion was made by Geo. Minter,
seconded by K. D. Hamilton, that the bid of $2.00 per year by the!!
Stephenville State Bank be accepted. Motion carried.
Mr. J. Thos. Davis and others came before the Council to
discuss the matter of location of Aviation Landing Field. After
discussion, a committee was appointed to secure a landing field,
as above mentioned. Committee: Geo. Minter, Chas. Neblett Jr.,
and Fred MoCleskey.
There being no further business, the Council stood adjourned"i
in an adjourned regular meeting, subject /the Mayor's call.
