The City Council of the City of Stephenville met in an ad-
journed regular meeting on August 7, 1939, with the following
members present: Mayor Clork and aldermen L. Riggins, Geo. Minter,
H. D. Barham, Fred M-cCleskey, Chas. Neblett Jr., T. T. Oliver and
Jack Henderson.
Mayor Clark stated that the meeting was to hear the Southwest
Natural Gas Company in regard to gas rates in the City. Repres-
entatives of the Gas Company were heard in regard to the financial;
statement of the company in the City of Stephenville. No further:i
action in the matter was taken.
A Citizen'S Comr:ittec not with the Council in regard to the
purchase of Farmers Trade Lot. No action was ta'ren.
A motion was made and duly seconded that the matter of stree#
lights on Graharr Street be referred to the Street Committee.
Motion carried.
The Council then stood adjourned in an adjourned regular
meeting, subject to the Mayor's call.

The City Council of Stephenville met in an adjourned regular
meeting on the above date. Those present: Mayor Clark, Chas.
Neblett Jr., K. D. ,iarrilton, T. T. Oliver, L. Rig,rins and Jack
Henderson.
Yr. C. W. Bryant, Chairman of the Zoning Committee, filed hi4
map and proposed zoning ordinances for the City of Stephenville.
hr. Hdll,,,nd met with the Council to discuss P. A. paving
project. ie:r. Selland offered his services to the City' at 2% of
cost of Project. F'o action was taken in the matter.
No other business, the Council stood adjourned in an adjourned
regular meeting, subject to the call of the P'ayor.
