CITY OF STEPHENVILLE:
On this the 7th day of April, A. D., 1939, the City Council
of the City of Stephenville, Texas, convened in an adjourned
regular meeting at the City Hall in Stephenville, same being the
regular meeting place thereof, with the following members present
to -wit: Mayor Henry Clark and Aldermen R. B. Bassel, Chas. Neblet
Jr.,K. D. Hamilton, H. D. Barham, Jack Henderson, T. T. Oliver, a
Geo. Minter.
Among other business had by the Council was the following:
It was moved by Alderman Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by Alderjf
lean T. T. Oliver, that an election be ordered held on the fourth
Tuesday in April, 1939, (same being the 25th day of April, 1939)
for the purpose of electing one Alderman in Ward No. 2, to serve
an unexpired term of one year.
Said election to be held in the manner and form as prescribed,:.
by the laws of the State of Texas. Vote on the above motion was
called for and carried by unanimous vote.

There being no further business to come before the Council,
motion was made and duly seconded to adjourn, in an adjourned
regular meeting, subject to the call of the Mayor.

Pursuant to law, notice is hereby given that an election wil
'Oe held on Tuesday, the 25th day of April, 1939, at Stephenville,
Texas, in the City Hall of Stephenville, Texas, at which polling
'Mace Mack Creswell is presiding Officer of Election, for the
purpose of voting for:
One Alderman in Ward No. 2 to serve an unexpired term of one
