Stephenville, Texas
December 6, 1938.
The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in regular
session on December 6, 1938, with the following members present:
Mayor Henry Clark, Jack Henderson, J. C. Holcomb, H. D. Barham,
K. D. Hamilton, T. T. Oliver, Chas. Neblett Jr.,R. B. Bassel, and',;
Geo. Minter. ,
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
The petition of F. M. Stigler and others was presented to the
Council asking that an election be held for the purpose of estab
lishment and maintenance of a municipal band. The City Secretary
stated that he had examined the petition and found that it contai#ed
the required npmber of qualified by law voters and City tax renderL-
ere. A motion was made by R. B. Bassel, seconded by K. D. Hamilton,
that an election be held for the purpose above mentioned. Motion!
carried.
Another motion was made by T. T. Oliver, seconded by Chas.
Neblett Jr., that said election be held on the First legal Tuesda
(as to time required by law). Motion carried.

A motion was made by Chas. Neblett Jr., seconded by J. C.
Holcomb, that the Mayor and City Secretary be empowered to make'
deed of J. E. Trimble property to the Armory Board. Motion carried.
Bills and accounts were read and on motion by Geo. Minter,
seconded by T. T. Oliver, were allowed and ordered paid.
