Stephenville, Texas
May 3, 1938.
The City Council of Stephenville, Texas, met in regular
.session on the 3rd of May, 1938, with Mayor Clark and the follow-1
ing Aldermen present: R. B. Bassel, Chas. Neblett Jr, Goo. Minted,
K. D. Hamilton, J. C. Holcomb, H. D. Barham, Jack Henderson, and
T. T. Oliver.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved.
The contract for water line under the Santa Fe Railroad

MoNeill Street, was read after which a motion was made by R. B.
Bassel, seconded by Goo. Minter, that the Mayor execute said con-i::
tract on behalf of the City. Motion carried.
Plumbers bonds of L. P. Gray and Jno. Biggs ware presented
for approval. Motion was made by J. C. Holcomb, seconded by K. D1
Hamilton, that these bonds be accepted and approved. Motion ear-j-
ried.
Motion was made by T. T. Oliver, seconded by R. B. Bassel,
that all City Employees be re-employed at their present salariesi
Motion carried.
Motion was made by K. D. Hamilton, seconded by J. C. Holcombe
that the Building Committee employ Mr. W. M. Welch as head earpen4
ter on Recreation Building and Swimming Pool at a salary of $100.00
per month. Motion carried.
The Ordinance to secure funds to build the Recreation Hall aOd
Swimming Pool was read. After discussion of the ordinance, Motion
was made by Chas. Neblett Jr. that said ordinance to secure funds'
for the purchase, building and construction of a Park and Swimming
pool be passed. The motion was seconded by K. D. Hamilton and
a duly passed as follows: Ayes 8; Noes 0.
Bills and accounts were read, and on motion by R. B. Bassel,',i
seconded by J. C. Holcomb, were allowed and ordered paid.
There being nothing else to come before the Council at this
time, they adjourned in an adjourned regular meeting, subject to'''.
