April 21, 1938.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville met in call
session on the 21st of April, 1938, with Mayor Clark and the
following Aldermen present: Chas. Neblett Jr., K. D. Hamilton,
R. B. Bassel, Goo. Minter, J. C. Holcomb, and H. D. Barham,
0eo. Minter reported that no progress had been made in se-
curing prices on the Mrs. J. W. Moss property.
Mr. Baker, of Wyatt C. Hedrick Firms, appeared before the
Council with drawings of Recreation Hall and Swimming Pool. After!
explaining details of drawing, etc., Mr. Baker was thanked by the j
Council for his interest, in making the trip, and explanation of
the drawings.
Mayor Clark appointed H. D. Barham, J. C. Holcomb, and Chas. '!
Neblett Jr., as committee to locate and secure rook for the build-"
ing of Recreation Hall. There being no further business, the
Council stood adjourned. 1__; � A ,

The City Council met in call session on the above date, with
the following members present: Mayor Henry Clark, Oeo..Minter,
H. D. Barham J. C. Holcomb, T. T. Oliver, K. D. Rem 11ton, R. B.
Basselq and Chas. Neblett Jr.
'The meeting was called to order by Mayor Clark. A statement
was had from A. D. Fulbright that the Ogee property was being
offered for building site for Recreation Hall and Swimming Pool,.
for the consideration of $4750.00.
Petitions of Mrs. Thom. Donnell and the Twentieth Century
Club against locating Recreation Hall and Pool on the Jenks prop-
erty was heard and filed.
Motion was made by R. B. Bassel, seconded by H. D. Barham, j
that the council go ditb executift session. Motion carried.
After discussion of various sites for location of Recreation
Hall and Swimming Pool, motion was made by T. T. Oliver, seconded'.
by K. D. Hamilton, that the buildings be located in the City Park.)
:The motion was carried by 7 Ayes: Noes 5.

Mayor Clark appointed as building committee: Chas. Neblett
Jr., T. T. Oliver, and Goo. Minter.
Motion was made by R. B. Bassel, seconded by J. C. Holcomb, '.
that the Building Committee negotiate with Mr. welch as sponsond'I''
foreman. Motion carried.
