November 2, 1937.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville met in regular
session on the 2nd of November, 1937, with Mayor Henry Clark and
the following Aldermen present: T. T. Oliver, K. D. Hamilton,
C. L. Cromwell, J. 0. Blakeney, J. C. Holcomb, Geo. Minter, and
R. B. Bassel.
Minutes of last meeting were read and approved. Business
was called for by the Mayor.
The renting of the Dance Hall Building at the City Park was
.discussed, after whim a motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney, see-
onded by K. D. Hamilton, that the building be rented to the
Stephenville Oil Mill to store peanuts at a price of $25.00 per
month. Motion carried.
A motion was made by J. 0. Blakeney,_ seconded by C. L. Crom-
well, that a storm sewer be constructed on the north side of the
Hardin Lumber Yard to be paid out of the Sewer Maintenance Fund.
Motion carried.
The Audit of the City Tax Department and City Water Works
!IDepartment, by Mr. Carl Zeeck, was presented for approval. A
motion was made by R. B. Bassel, seconded by J. C. Holcomb, that
such audit be accepted and approved. Motion carried.
Bills and accoun is were read, and on motion by R. B. Bassel,,:
.seconded by J. 0. Blakeney, were allowed and ordered paid. There',
'being no further business, the Council stood adjourned in an ad-
journed regular meeting, subject to the Mayor's call.
