1-_ RESOLUTION
The State of Texas
City of Stephenville: BE IT RI -MEMBERED, That on this, the
l, day of A.D. 1937, there came on and was held
n e City Hall of/the ulU of Stephenville, a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Stephenville, a municipal
corporation of the State of Texas, at which meeting the followin
duly elected and qualified Aldermen were present and participated
in said meeting to -wit: R B Bassel, Geo. Minter, eF-9-PO4— mb,
T T Oliver,vltorv, C L Cromwell and J 0 Blakeney, and the '?
Honorable Henry Clark, Mayor of said City presiding;
And thereupon came on for consideration before said Council,
the matter of the sale and conveyance by the City of Stephenville
to A F Anderson of the property hereinafter described;
And it appearing to the satisfaction of the Council that it
would be to the advantage of the City of Stephenville to make
such sale and conveyance, and after the due dis ussion of said
matter, and upon the motion of Alderman duly
seconded by Alderman C,(_ �iy bey, p�/ an on a cs y the
h"aver for a vote thereon, —tie following named Aldermen, R.B.
Bassel, Geo. Minter, J C Holcomb, T T Oliver, K D Hamilton,
C L Cromwell and J O Blakeney, who formed a quorum, voting for
the resolution, and thereupon, the Mayor, Henry Clark, declared l
said motion and resolution adopted, to -wit:
"It is resolved, ordered and ordained by the City Council
of the City of Stephenville, that the Honorable Henry Clark,
Mayor of the City of Stephenville, on behalf of the City, do
make, execute and deliver a good and sufficient deed for a con-
sideration of $1500.00 cas# paid, with covenant of general war-
ranty, conveying to A. F. Anderson of Stephenville, Texas, all
of Lot No. ONE (1) in Block "To. SEVENTEEN (17), in the City of l
Stephenville, Erath County, Texas, said deed to be attested by
C. C. Davis, Secretary of the City of Stephenville."
And whereas the cash consideration paid to said City for
said property, is being advanced to A. F. Anderson by Mrs. Jennie
Jones, a widow, Mrs. Irene Long (wife of Chas. S. Long) and
Eloise Jones, a fame sole, a vendor's lien is to be retuned in'J
said deed upon said property to secure a $1500.00 note payable
to said Iv.rs. Jennie Jones, Mrs. Irene Long and Eloise Jones,
given by said Anderson to said parties.

Stephenville, do hereby certify that the above and foregoing is a
true and correct copy of the Resolution -of -the City Council of
The City of Stephenville, Texas, as the same appears of record in
Vol. E, page, of the Minutes of the City Council of the
!!City of Stepnenville, at the City Hall in said City.
