Business was called for by the Liayor. Petitions of ,;r i otn rshed a..d ct.ors, t;. ;cisdom and others, .,,ere presc..�ed 'Ing for street lights at Library and lights to begin at corner of Belknap and Long Streets to extend west to Y�ary Street. =.fter discussion of the ,;.titter, motion tras Ij made by T. _. Oliver, seconded by J. C. Holcomb, that street lights be installerat each intersection on Long Street from Belknap Street to Lary Strcct, one liLht at Ka.'ry Street and ILc;,eill Street, also t,.^o lights at Library. The motion was duly carried.. The matter of adjusting City Taxes of the Southwest Gas Co. 'for the year 1035 was called for discussion. After a hearing, motion xas made by J. 0. Bla,r.eney, seconded by H. C. Martin, that the Cour:cil accept taxes of th.e gas company for the year 1935 at 60,000.00 value (being W`900.00 tax without penalty). Lotion carried. A motion was ;made by J. 0. Blakeney, seconded by T. T. Oliver, that the Finance Co.maittee close trade with L. _nompson on :Lot 4, Block 72, City i+ddition, purchase price to be credit on his City tax.
