RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, TO ACCEPT THE
2016 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE — CHIP SEAL PROJECT AND AUTHORIZE FINAL PAYMENT TO BRETT
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY; FINDING AND DETERMINING THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION
WAS PASSED WAS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AS REQUIRED BY LAW.
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville entered into a unit price contract with BRETT CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY with a final estimated total cost of $430,602.00; and
WHEREAS, the project areas were extended, in accordance within regulated practices, to best
utilize the cost per unit and best utilize the overall 2016 pavement maintenance budget; and
WHEREAS, the actual work was completed at a total cost of $571,970.95 of which $560,531.53
has been previously paid to the contractor, leaving an amount due of $11,439.42; and
WHEREAS, the City has received an executed Final Bills Paid Affidavit from the Contractor and a
recommendation of final payment from the Engineer of Record.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF STEPHENVILLE, TEXAS, THAT,
SECTION 1. The 2016 PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE —CHIP SEAL PROJECT is hereby accepted, and
the City Administrator is authorized to make final payment to the contractor.
SECTION 2. It is hereby officially found and determined the meeting which this resolution
was passed was open to the public as required by law.
