City of Stephenville - City Council
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 39 1996 - 6:30 P.M.
The City Council of the City of Stephenville. Texas, convened on December 3, 1996, at 6 : 3 0
p.m., in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 354 N. Belknap Street, for the purpose of a Citizens
General Discussion Meeting, with the meeting being open to the public and notice of said meeting,
giving the date, time, place and subject thereof, having been posted as prescribed by Chapter 551,
Government Code, Vernon's Texas Codes Annotated, with the following members present, to wit:

Mayor Pro-Tem called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. and declared a quorum
present. He announced that Mayor John Pollan is on vacation out of the country, and
therefore, was not present for this meeting.
CITIZENS GENERAL DISCUSSION
Bob Kimball, American Heritage Transportation, 789 West Green Stephenville,
Texas, stated that he would like for the Council to set taxicab rates. He indicated that
prescribed rates set by the Council would keep operators from setting exorbitant fees.
Kimball intends to focus part of his business on the American veteran's needs as they
relate to transportation.
City Administrator Don Davis informed Kimball that the Public Health and Safety
Committee would be reviewing this ordinance at its next meeting scheduled for
Thursday, December 19, at 5 : 3 0 p.m.
Councilmember Shelton expressed his thanks for the recent tour of the FMC facilities.
Shelton informed those present that FMC has grown from 290 employees in 1995 to
over 400 in 19961, and sales have risen from $80,000 million in 1995 to $125,000
million in 1996.

III. ADJOURN
There being no other business to come before the Council at this time, Mayor Pro-
Tem Corbin adjourned the meeting at 6 :47
