CITY OF STEPHENVILLE
A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, the City of Stephenville has received national attention
because of the 1994 Stephenville High School Yellow Jackets
football team; and
WHEREAS, the Yellow Jackets have made history with two consecutive
state championships and a 32-0 record; and
WHEREAS, these young men have served as ambassadors for our
community as they traveled throughout the state:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, on behalf of
the citizens of Stephenville, that the Stephenville High
School Yellow Jackets be officially recognized for their
accomplishments in winning their second Class 4-A State
Football Championship.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Stephenville hereby
expresses its appreciation to these student athletes and the
efforts of Coach Art Briles and the coaching staff for their
fine representation of this community.
